Roseau County is located in the state of Minnesota along the Canada–US border with a population of approximately 15,629. The county seat is the city of Roseau, and it’s the regional employment, shopping, medical, and government center for the Lake of the Woods area of Minnesota.

 

Roseau County has a child care shortage of approximately 233 child care slots. The shortage of this magnitude impacts families, employers, and the overall economic development of Roseau County. Through the Rural Child Care Innovation Program, the community is working to address the current child care challenges, and create innovative and sustainable solutions that increase the supply of high quality child care.
