Brown County recently conducted a study and found that the many of the family child care providers were planning to retire in the next five years. Parents in the area report that it is very difficult to find affordable child care, especially infant and toddler care. Local businesses are often unable to find employees due the child care shortage. The community needs to create child care slots to meet the needs of parents who want to be a part of the workforce.
